How long has Learning Materials been in business?  Learning Materials by Lisachem was started over a decade ago by Wayne Prickett, B.App.Sc.(Chem), Dip. Ed., Grad. Dip. R.E, an enterprising and talented VCE Chemistry teacher at St Columba's College in Essendon. Since then Wayne has left both Learning Materials and the teaching profession to become a successful businessman, but his tradition of excellence prevails in the ethos of the company, and the valued study aids we produce.

 What products do you sell?  We specialise in trial exams, unit / topic tests for VCE Units 1-4 in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology. We also sell a range study guides targeted to the VCE.  Please visit our products page for more detailed information.

 Why should I purchase a Learning Materials exam? When you purchase a Learning Materials trial exam you can be assured you are buying a quality product, written by experienced, practicing, VCE teachers.  Our exams adhere to the current study design and are written to give the student targeted practice, with the ultimate aim of improving students’ performance in the VCE exams.  This, coupled with our limited copyright, makes our exams an invaluable learning tool.

Do your materials adhere to the current study design?  Yes, all our material adheres to the current study design.

Does the format of your exams reflect the real VCE exams?  Yes, the format of our exams follows the VCAA guidelines and is a realistic representation of what to expect in the VCE exams. 

Can anyone buy your current exams?  No, only schools and approved tutors can purchase our current exams.  However, students wishing to practice their exam techniques can purchase our past exam papers, from previous years, and students can also buy our study guides. 

How do I place an order? We have four ways to order: by phone, by fax, by email or via our online ordering system. Click here to order online.

In what format do you supply your exams? Our exams are available in two formats: electronic and hardcopy.  Our electronic exams are in PDF format burnt on CD-ROM.  Both formats are shipped via Australia Post. 

Why order your exams electronically? The principal benefit of ordering your exams on CD-ROM is the ease with which you are able to print multiple copies, taking advantage of the cost effectiveness of printing versus photocopying.  Our limited copyright allows you to save our exams on your school intranet for future use, plus the disk is handy as a backup.

In what format do you supply your books? At this stage our books are only available hardcopy and shipped via Australia Post.

What format do I select if I purchase both exams and books? Only our exams are available electronically, so if you want your exams on CD-ROM then select our electronic format.  Your books will arrive in hardcopy, together with your order, for the one Postage & Handling fee.

What is your limited copyright? Our limited copyright only pertains to our trial exams.  It allows the school that has purchased the exam to photocopy for use within their school.

Are your books subject to the Learning Materials limited copyright? No - our books are subject to normal copyright laws.

Can I save your exams to our school intranet?  Yes.  We encourage schools to save our exams on their intranet for future use.  However, they may not otherwise be reproduced (all or part) electronically, scanned into a school computer, forwarded via email, or placed on the Internet, without written consent of the publisher. 

Can I see a sample of your exams? If you would like to see a sample of our exams please contact us at orders@learningmaterials.com.au and we would be happy to send you a sample. 

How should I pay? If you are ordering on behalf of your school, please provide a purchase order number and we will send your invoice with your order.  For all other purchases we offer PayPal.
