BREAKING NEWS: 2012 will be the last year of VCE mid-year exams
The VCAA has decided that mid-year examinations in a number of subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology, will be run for the last time in 2012.
From 2013, mid-year VCE examinations will no longer be part of the curriculum, with each subject having only a 2.5 hour exam at the end of the year. The VCAA notes that this will “provide more flexibility for schools and permit greater continuity of study for all VCE students.”
There will be some minor amendments made to study designs for the affected subjects (in Units 3 and 4 only), and Learning Materials will ensure that all of our 2013 study materials are reflective of the revised designs as soon as is practical after their publication.
